Welcome to The Jervis Arms.

Located on the banks of the river Hamps in the small Staffordshire Moorlands village of Onecote. The pub is named after Admiral Jervis who was born in Meaford near Stone in 1734. He was a Member of Parliament, an active commander during the Seven Years War, American War of Independence, French Revolutionary War and Napoleonic Wars. He is best known for his victory at the 1797 Battle of Cape St Vincent from which he earned his titles and as a patron of Horatio Nelson. He was commander in Chief of the Mediterranean in 1795/9, Commander in Chief of the Channel Fleet in 1799 and First Lord of the Admiralty in 1801.

The Jervis Arms Refurbishment Plan

Works are continuing on the Jervis refurbishment plan, the female toilets are now open, and work on the finishing touches will continue during quiet periods. Works on the area around the toilets and rear entrance is expected to be competed by the end of 2018.

Our new dining area is now open! Situated at the rear of the pub in the newer extension of the building, this dining room takes on a different style to the more traditional areas of the pub, whilst continuing with the quirky feel found throughout. This room is ideal for larger parties due to the long tables suitable for up to ten to twelve people on each. With the opening of the new dining area, we now have step-free access via the rear entrance of the pub, and once the toilets are complete we will also have full disabled access toilet facilities.

And that's only just the start of the plans we have for The Jervis Arms!
